Park

We took our baby to the park, and the geese took their babies. So cute!

There were bunches of goslings. Small ones and big ones.

I forgot the Bjorn so we carried him the whole way. He's 18 1/2 pounds of a heavy boy!

John had a good idea...

New things and events

Sam got to try his high chair last week. It was sure nice to have him at the table with us.

He tried out the kid rocking chair that I had growing up.

He tried rolling around on the ball.

And the main event... he tried solid foods. We think he likes it! Yeah!

New things

First time in high chair. See next post for link to funny video.

Maemae bought a "Grandpa Bob" hat for Sam. It fits him really well and helps block out the sun on our walks.

Sitting outside while Mama & Papa attempt to weed the yard.

First time on shoulders.

First time in high chair

Sam had a great time trying out his new high chair. It's such a cute video that Papa claimed it for his own blog. We laughed and laughed and laughed.

Time with Papa and Grandma B

These two were too cute to pass up.

This was Sam's day with the family on Easter. It was a very long day in which he only slept about an hour-and-a-half. He usually sleeps 6-8 hours during the day.

Just hanging out.

Hugs all around

Hugsy getting a hug from Sam...

Macy has been feeling left out lately. I picked her up the other night and hugged her for a little bit then let her climb on my shoulders, and this was the result. Cute, right?

An update

Sam's growing up. He's grasping toys and almost giggling. I've been with him a lot since I've been home on Spring Break. I only have three more days, then it's back to school.

Maemae

Here's Maemae with Sam. She waited a long time to visit and see Sam because of getting sick and other delays. She was very excited to see him!

Sam' lifting his head more now.

Sam

Sam noises

Here's Sam right before our scheduled tummy time.

I was evidently tired...

Yesterday, Sam woke up earlier than usual by about an hour. I fed him and went back to bed thinking that John would wake me up at 5:00 to feed Sam (the normal time); I set my alarm for the next feeding time. I woke up with my alarm; John also woke up and said "Aimee, it's time to feed Sam again." I asked him how he knew it was the second time, and he said I told him at 5:00 that I fed him at 4:00. Wow. I so did not remember telling him that! I guess I was tired.

Sam

Handmade quilt by Great-great-aunt Betty.

Sound asleep in the bouncer. I like the position of his feet; he looks very comfortable.

Hand-decorated shirt by Grandma B.

Volcano shirt, hand-decorated by Cousin Jeff.

2 1/2 months

I love this picture! It took awhile to get him to smile, but Papa finally captured it.

He started lifting his head up while on his tummy.

Macy and Sam

I have a cute little story to tell. One of the times I was feeding Sam this weekend, Macy happened to be laying on her blanket next to me. Sam looked over at her, and I said "there's Macy." She started purring, then Sam moved his arm in the capacity he can now by jerking it. He barely touched Macy, and he smiled. It was so sweet to have my two darlings interact and show love towards each other. It made my tear up, as it is now as I'm writing this.

And we start the parties...

So in our family, we have 8 birthdays in the first three months of the year. We went to Candace's party at Chevy's... yummy food and a good time.

I know this one turned out a little fuzzy, but I liked the size comparison.

We're both a little tired from travelling and a long day.

Surf board

Sam holds his body straight when you lift him up. He's like a surf board.

New outfit from Larry & Dianna. So cute!

I think he likes it!

Funny quote

Here's a funny quote about two important things in my life right now: vegetables and school.

Cauliflower is nothing but cabbage with a college education.

Doctor and hanging out

Sam had some tummy time.

Then some time on Dad's tummy.

He saw his doctor again. And the results are:
2 months
25.75", 99%tile
14 lbs 6 oz, 93%tile
17" head, 98%tile
Spur of the moment picture. I chuckle everytime I look at it.
