Any ideas for a population or environment problem or solution that I could do a project on?

Shelter animals, growing own fruit and vegetables, having less lawn and more oxygen producing plants such as bamboo. Homeowners growing bamboo to produce sustainable clothing/building products with a pick up or distribution center to reward them for their efforts. Education would be needed for running vs. clumping bamboo. By the way, bamboo contributes to oxygen production as much or more than trees. This would also create community involvement, but would require educational and promotional programs. It could actuall turn into a pretty good business.
