Trying to eat healthier

For a few years now I keep telling myself that I will eat healthier and exercise so that I can be healthier and maybe a little thinner. Well, it's come to a climax now where I don't think I can go on eating junk. So I want to eat more dairy and fruit and veggies. And I want to walk every day after work. I'm writing this down so I can refer to it. Thoughts that don't get written down are never going to take place.

I've heard that switching from processed sugar to natural sugar is a big help. Almost anything prepackaged has processed sugar in it. Switching means preparing everything at home. My Mom has a good motto: only buy foods with 1) ingredients you can pronounce, or 2) a list of five or less ingredients on the package. She buys a lot of fresh food and applies another motto: why cook it when you can eat it raw?
